Water = dead animals + dinosaur pee

This is one for the books...

My students are currently working on a research project about natural resources (renewable and non-renewable) for Science this term. One student chose the topic of Water - difficult because of how much information is out there. Having a lot of trouble organizing his thoughts, we did an idea web and mapped out basic sub-topics. Then I helped him generate questions under each one to help him focus his thoughts and guide him in his research.

Nevertheless, for some reason he decided to write the following:

Gross things
Did you ever wonder if water had weird things in it? Water is very nutritious. It's good for you. I think it's so nutritious because there is dinosaur pee in it. EEWW! Think about it! You are drinking fossilized dinosaur pee! And dead animals too.

The thought processes behind such a preposterous notion - albeit an awfully original one - are unfathomable: I will not attempt to understand. What was he thinking when he included this in his research? I leave it to you to determine.
